Another Win for Carson

By Araday Sautia, Staff Writer | November 18

Carson’s varsity girls volleyball team recently earned themselves another win against Banning High with a score of 3-1! This particular game was a special moment for all the senior players due to the fact that it was their last home game of the season and their senior night. This big game attracted a lot of supporters and Colt fans.

Carson’s libero, Arwen Alaan, a senior from the Academy of Medical Arts (AMA) stated, “[I] have seen so much growth from the team.”

The players were happy with the outcome of their senior night, were able to enjoy each other’s presence, received gifts from underclassmen and family, and saw the tons of support and love that they have.

Senior Luisa Vita, Carson’s setter from AMA stated, “Our coaches also helped us make a lot of progress with our game.”

Alaan, Vita, and middle blocker AMA senior Chelsey Nwoboda, expressed their gratitude towards the underclassmen that played with them this season.

“We are happy with all [of] the new underclassmen because they feel [like] little sisters to us and [we] enjoy watching them become better players,” the seniors collectively stated.

Since the volleyball season has reached its end, the team is sad yet happy about the fact that their favorite seniors are graduating this school year. They have been such great mentors and examples for the underclassman players and have made an impact in their gameplay. These talented seniors have shown their great determination and love for the sport and have been great leaders.

In the end, the Lady Colts placed second in Marine League with a record of 7-3.

The Carson community wishes these seniors a memorable rest of their senior year and a future full of success and opportunities.
