So what is club rush? Well... club rush is when a variety of clubs come together to
display the significance of their club to catch the attention of others who may potentially join! For this year’s Carson High 2022 Club Rush, which was run by Mrs. Robertson and the help of her 6th period Leadership Class, we have a variety of clubs for all students to join! In addition to that, Carson also has a few new clubs as well this year! All schools in Carson including both the Academies of Education and Empowerment and the Academy of Medical Arts were welcomed to participate in this event which was held on Friday September 14th during lunch.
Throughout the preparation of Club Rush Mrs. Robertston (as stated before) was assisted by all students in her Leadership Class. She gives them credit for the hard work they put into this event. For example, two of her students, senior Carson High School students Josh Arcenal and Felix Suavillo created the seating chart for the event. “Each of these posters were made by leadership students”, said Mrs. Robertson, “and all club constitutions were created by students and teachers from around the school.”
So why is Club Rush an important event? “It’s important that students know that they can control what goes on here at Carson”, Mrs. Robertson states, “Clubs are an easy way that you all can have fun during lunch or that you can interact with each other in a way that isn’t about school or academics.”
This event is a great opportunity for students to decide what fits them best and thankfully there are about 30 clubs for students to choose from.
