Why did LAUSD schools start on a Thursday? Students had mixed emotions about it, some thought it was a bit odd, while others thought of it to be thrilling.
Carson High School senior Noah Vargas said "School starting on a Thursday is messy [due to the fact] they made it unnecessary that they do that. We should have started on a Monday."
Many other students that were interviewed said similar responses. Some teachers thought of this schedule to be a bit weird, having to get to know their students in the span of 2 days.
Carson High School junior Jazmine Cuevas said, "Although it's a bit funky, but it is just two days then head straight into the weekend."
Although many questions we're asking about the odd start day, the scheduled odd day aligns with the planned schedule for students to make it not as complicated although confusing for some.
With all the changes come new comings, such as students being excited for football games, spirit weeks and Homecoming. The theme being, "Night In The Bayou".
We hope to see more fun spirit weeks and having several more fun days!
