What is currently going on in the sports world? Are Lebron James and his son Bronny James getting too much attention for being on the same team and making history for being the first father son duo?
Many ESPN analysts and outside sources have mixed opinions; some think he should've stayed in college for another year to get better while others think that he is only in the league because of his dad.
Carson High School senior Armando Gomez said, ¨If he wasn't lebron son I think he wouldn't make it to the league and no one would know who he is.¨
¨I also think [it] is kinda a biased option just because his dad plays there and there was definitely pressure on the organization to choose him,” said CHS senior Lawrence Thornton.
According to NBA News sources, on October 22, 2024, LeBron and Bronny checked into the game together with four minutes left in the second quarter, prompting a big ovation from a home crowd aware of the enormity of the milestone. LeBron had already started the game and played 13 minutes before he teamed up with his 20-year-old son to make history.
“It’s pretty cool because it’s his son,” said CHS junior Joshua Ferrell.
Time will tell if the history making duo will leave a lasting impression on the NBA with many watching in anticipation.
