Our seniors for both boys and girls football, band, cheer, and drill were recognized on October the 18th for their last home game before beginning playoffs. It was a packed house with amazing support from our Carson High School community.
The Carson High Football Team celebrated their victory over Gardena with an amazing score of 23-7 as our last home game of the season.
“This game felt special knowing this was my last promised home game, and I was grateful [that] all my family came out to support me,” said Academy of Education and Empowerment senior Taelenu’u Tuaau.
Our football team definitely showed up and showed out; they really did come to play ball.
Our amazing band, drill, and cheer team also showed their talent and skills doing what they love, so we can’t forget about them either.
Many within our Colt family predicted that CHS would win big, and the team did not disappoint.
As many know, football is one of the most popular sports at any high school, not just CHS. That being said, there is something different about our school. Something we like to call Colt Love! You can definitely say the seniors felt that Colt Love on their special day.
Let’s not forget about our amazing student section! Our student section’s theme for that week was Pink Out in support of Breast Cancer Awareness.
A special shout out needs to be given to leadership and ability to inspire such an amazing turnout!
“My highlight of every football game is to be able to make memories with my friends in the student section and just enjoy Friday Night Lights, " said CHS senior Kathylene Foisia.
Our football team has definitely had some losses this season just as every team does, but we couldn’t be prouder to see Carson take this win!
“To be honest, I think we underestimated them a little bit…[they] really showed up and showed out. The vibe was cool, always happy to play ball,” said CHS sophomore Jayden Tiuoti.
With a win on our side and seniors recognized, it is safe to say a good time was had at C-House!
“The game itself was a hard fought win, our coaches [told] us it's going to come down to who wants it more,” said AEE senior Taelenu’u Tuaau, “[and]...we ended up with the W with a score of 23-7, and the night was surely a night I will remember.”
The sense of love and family in the infamous C-House will always be one of the best feelings to have and one of the best places to experience it is during our Friday Night Lights football games!
