Our soccer girls at Carson High School had their senior night on Wednesday February 5, 2025. The Lady Colts faced off against Gardena High School. This year, the girls maintained 7 wins and 1 tie with Lawndale High School.

The night included many congratulations and reflections on the journeys that are to come.

The evening was also filled with many cheers and a sense of pride as the team, coaches, and supporters gathered to recognize the seniors' contributions both on and off the field.

Each senior was introduced and received gifts as tokens of love. Many happily walked away with flowers, posters, and personalized mementos, items that highlighted a special touch for each individual.

Most importantly, the celebration allowed everyone to witness the real bond that these girls have built with one another.

CHS junior Nancy Franco shared her thoughts on the bittersweet goodbyes.

“I feel very sad that the season is ending because a lot of girls [will] be leaving next year, [and] they have been a big part of my soccer journey and helped me a lot,” said Franco.

Soccer is more than just scoring goals, it's about building lifetime friendships, learning to trust each other, and overcoming challenges together.

“It's really sad saying goodbye to all my friends. I have learned everything from this team, and I have soccer to thank for that,” said CHS senior Dariana Gomez. “My favorite memory was learning how to collaborate on the field and balance soccer with school.”

Senior night isn’t just about farewells, it is also a celebration of the passion for soccer that unites the team and the values of game skills including resilience, teamwork, and a commitment to excellence both on and off the field.

Congratulations to the class of 2025 who leave behind a legacy that will be remembered.
