This year's Homecoming game was held on October 4, 2024 at Carson High school at 7pm.
We won the football challenge against San Pedro with a final score of 31 to 20.
The game's theme was funeral inspired with Carson High School fans wearing all black. The student section was completely full and many people had a lot of fun.
The football players did a wonderful job and there were no accidents or injured players as they led us to victory.
“It was good as someone who actually likes to watch football. I felt we blew out San Pedro, but at the end, our football team started to struggle, but we still pushed through,” said CHS junior Elijah Green. “Homecoming football game was a solid 8.5 out of 10. It’s kinda difficult. [We] had energy, but it didn’t have the score run up as much as I thought it would.”
The overall atmosphere allowed students to revel in the victory.
“Yeah, I had fun. I had lots of fun,” said CHS sophomore Ronald Garcia. “A 9 [because of] my friends.”
Homecoming is a chance for current Carson Colts to confer with alumni as well, making the audience even more interactive.
“Just the overall like positivity, like the atmosphere, just felt great cause we all were with our friends, and we were just talking while watching the game,” said CHS freshman Oscar Gomez “There was to much people…[and they had] to go to parent section cause the student section was filled out.”
The vibes were there and everyone had a blast! Students, alumni, and their friends had fun and everyone enjoyed the Hoco Game.
Overall, there were good ratings for the football game and experience.
