Recent fires across Southern California have concerned many residents.
Overall, Southern California will have some risk of being affected by wildfires over the next 30 years.
In addition to property damage, experts claim that wildfires can also cut off access to utilities, emergency services, impact evacuation routes and the overall economic well-being of an area.
Current emergency incidents include just over a million acres burned, 7,194 wildfires, and nearly 500,000 total emergency wildfires with climate predictions indicating "above normal temperatures for all of California, resulting in an abnormally high fire risk for the remainder of the year" according to Cal Fire.
