Another Ride, Another Trill

Updated: Oct 16, 2020

What’s your favorite ride at Six Flags Magic Mountain? Is it Tatsu, Superman, Goliath, or the most recent built coaster, CraZanity? All of these rides stun those brave enough to step in line and wait for a turn to see what the coaster has in store.

Now, Six Flags Magic Mountain has added yet another crazy coaster to their collection, West Coast Racers. The theme park located in Valencia, California has over 40 rides for all ages, ball pits, bungee jumping, arcades, and at every turn, either concession stands or restaurants. Once again, Six Flags has become the “world’s largest regional theme park company and ranked as the best of the best coasters,” according to inventors.sixflags.com.

The new ride Six Flags Magic Mountain has added to the park is located in the back left side of the park toward Apocalypse.

The description the Six Flags app gives of the ride says, “World’s first racing launch coaster, West Coast Racers.”

New colors and concepts are what separates Six Flags from other theme parks in California and what keeps bringing customers back everyday year round. They have already added two new rides this year, so hopefully, they keep the momentum going.

Carson High School junior Kodah Malupe said, “I’ve been on literally every ride there, so I’m glad they keep adding new stuff. I wish they would make a ride [that] goes backwards but I think the West Coast part is hard so I’ll be riding the roller coaster.”

West Coast Racers should be a good inclusion to all of the diverse and thrilling rides they have at the park and many people are excited to get their turn on the ride.

The Academies of Education and Empowerment senior Dylan Washington said, “I think it should be fun and fast; it reminds me of Viper, and I can’t wait to ride the rollercoaster.”

Hopefully everyone is satisfied with the coaster’s loops, turns, drops and all enjoy a day spent on all of the other coasters. The ride is scheduled to open in January of 2020, so here’s to hoping it’s worth the wait.
