After a long awaited time, Carson High School’s homecoming court was finally announced during lunch on Friday, October 20th.
Your senior princess, Maya Granados, expressed her gratitude to her supporters.
“I feel very happy and excited. It's a great feeling knowing a lot of people voted for me and wanted me to win.” said Granados. “Running and campaigning was a fun experience that paid off, and I'm just very grateful to everyone who voted for me.”
Granados also won last year's junior homecoming princess.
Moving on to the underclassmen, junior Kennedy Young's campaign and hard work paid off as well because she is now junior homecoming princess.
“To get my name out there, I had friends passing out cupcakes, cookies, and donuts,” said Young.
In addition, Jonathan Cordova, sophomore at CHS, looked forward to being a part of the homecoming court.
“I ran for homecoming court because I have Ms. Benitez, and she just asked who wanted to run, and I volunteered,” said Cordova.
This leap of faith resulted in Cordova winning the title of sophomore homecoming prince. You never know what can happen when you put yourself out there!
Lastly, new Carson Colt Kaydn McRoyal was a part of the court as well.
CHS freshman Kaydn McRoyal said, “I'm excited I won.”
All of the winners are grateful and very happy that they were able to experience such a memorable moment.
