BOO! It’s that time of year again, our yearly Haunted House experience is back. It is put together by Ms. Kadota, Ms. Barryte, Ms. Harris and her advisory, and the Thespians Club and great things are expected this year.

For the past few years our school has put on a haunted house to get into the spirit of Halloween, and the production does well; students love getting scared while having their adrenaline pumping.

This year it will be held on the 27th of October, a few days before Halloween itself.

You would think that a haunted house put on by a school wouldn’t be scary, but according to some students who have participated in the event before, it is indeed scary. Many went in thinking that they weren’t going to get scared, but because of the hard work by staff and students, the event turned out to be a big hit. They got a good scream out of some students.

Carson High School’s stage tech teacher Ms. Kadota said, “You should expect an escape room, a maze, game booths, concession, and music.”

There is more to it than just getting scared, there are various things to do to get into the spirit.

Ms. Kadota also said, “In order to put this all together for the students to enjoy, it takes team effort, collaboration, participants, and of course donations.”

It takes a lot of hard work and determination to make a plan to execute this haunted house. Collaborators have to really think about and choose what parts go where and when things should pop out to scare the participants. Timing is everything for a good scare.

We hope to see great things this year. Hopefully, the participants enjoy themselves and get scared, so they will be willing to attend next year again in the fall.
