177 episodes later, The Walking Dead on AMC has ended with plenty of zombies still roaming around. The show, The Walking Dead, has unfortunately come to a dead end.
The show first came out back in October 31, 2010. For the past 12 years, many people have developed a deep love and fandom for the show. They enjoyed watching characters develop and fight for survival.
The Walking Dead was immensely popular, drawing in 15-17 million same day viewers on a weekly basis. The monumental series was one of the most watched shows in cable TV history.
Many people were very excited to see the last season of the show because they were thrilled to see who would return, survive, or die. Fans were so happy when the main character, Rick Grimes, returned after being gone for 3 whole seasons.
Yet, there were other fans who believed that the storyline became somewhat redundant.
Carson High School PE teacher Mr. Kirk said, “The first couple seasons I liked it, but then it got kind of redundant because they never left Georgia. They just kept staying in Georgia and you never knew what was going on in the rest of the world with the zombies.”
Overall, the ending of the series has garnered plenty of response across the board.
Angel Sanchez of CHS said, “The Walking Dead has to be one of my favorite shows. Watching the last season made me feel so many emotions because I first started watching the show when I was only 10 years old, and it has now come to its end.”
If you haven’t had the chance to watch the show, now would be a great time to binge watch over the holiday season; you won’t regret it!
