By Leah Booker – Staff Writer

This year’s new college counselor, Carson High School Mrs. Naufahu, has been defined as interactive and helpful. The University of California, Davis and University of Southern California graduate has made a huge impact during the short time that she has been involved with Carson Complex. Mrs.Naufahu announced, “ I love Carson High and I went to Carson, so this has always been my dream job. My best advice for students is the decision you make today impacts your tomorrow.” She’s dedicated a lot of time to the students and continues to make sure they stay on track. She always remind students about scholarship opportunities and to stay on task on their college applications. Mrs. Naufahu not only prepares seniors but also encourages all grade levels to be fully aware of their future. CHS senior Tatiana Flamer said, “ I’m glad that she’s in the college center, she’s helped me a lot not only with college but even if your feeling down she always lifts you back up.” If Mrs.Naufahu wasn’t here most students wouldn’t know what to do when it came to college. Although she is new to the school she has already helped out a lot and made a huge impact on the school and students. “She’s helped us a lot the peers and the students get the message out to the other students & help everyone do what they’re supposed to do in high school. She lets us know about important information that we may not have known about if she wasn’t here.” said Academy of Medical Art’s senior and college peer Kaybe Lopez We’re all grateful for Mrs.Naufahu and all the help she provides. As she continues to do what she does best we wish her the best of luck here at CHS.
