The time has came for basketball fans,. The NBA playoffs are finally here and began on April 14, 2018. All 16 teams in the playoffs, 8 from the Eastern Conference and 8 from the Western Conference give their all throughout 3 rounds and the Finals to prove their worth for the Larry O’Brien trophy, the award that goes to the team that wins it all. The last couple of years have been dominated by the Golden State Warriors and the Cleveland Cavaliers, giving the other teams a 0% chance of winning by dominating almost any team that came their way. Many teams have adjusted over the past summer due to the trading window which had lead to teams adding many different options to their teams, some becoming overpowered and some getting weaker.

The league has come to a point to where it’s possible for just about any team to pull off a upset against an opposing team. Many NBA fans would love to see the Golden State Warriors get taken down by the Cleveland Cavaliers and many would like to see neither team compete for the trophy. This season has been the most exciting for the fans and the teams being evenly spread out gives just about all 16 teams a fair chance to go to either the next round or at least lose fairly.

Jaylen Reece, Senior at Carson High School stated, “this will be a very exciting year for the NBA and I believe that we would see a different outcome this year.”

Amar Jackson, Senior from CHS is concerned saying, “I hope this year isn’t a repeat of the last 3 years because if it is i’m going back to watching the NFL.”

The NBA Playoff intensity continues to grow bigger and bigger and the fans are loving every single second of it.
