Nicki Minaj has officially embarked on her Pink Friday 2 World Tour. The rapper opened the tour on March 1st, 2024 in Oakland, California with a sold out show of over 20,000 fans. The tour is set to conclude on July 14th, 2024 in Liege, Belgium.
The tour has exceeded many fans' expectations as there were speculations that she and the tour would not perform well. However, every show has been sold out thus far with only one tour date being rescheduled due to Minaj catching the flu.
Last night Minaj took to the X app (formerly known as Twitter) just after performing another sold out show in Atlanta. The Tweet read “i prob should've taken another day but u know what? Sometimes your mind & body needs to be pushed. I felt horrible missing NOLA & i don't want to ever feel that again”.
Even through sickness, Minaj prevailed and put on a performance to the best of her ability. The tour has had mixed reviews, a majority being positive with a few critiquing Nicki and her team.
Carson High School junior Angel Marie attended the tour at rolling loud.
“She did so freaking good and she looked amazing,” said Marie. “She did sound a bit sick but she performed amazingly, and it was so long too.”
Nicki Minaj’s set list includes over 30 of her top hits, which extended her concerts to about 3 hours. The tour also includes special guests Monica and Tyga.
Parent of a CHS student Gizelle Jones, who is also a fan and attended the tour stated, “I was not gagged…It was good, but she was late and sounded sick, so I feel like we didn't get her full energy.”
Nicki Minaj has proven to the general public that she will always prevail and overcome her challenges. Her tour continues to sell out and gains massive support each day.
