The 4th season of Overwatch 2 is finally on its way with the release date revealed in the trailer. The season is going to drop on April 11th,2023 at 11 AM PST. With the season's release, the overwatch communities are looking to get a brand-new healer named Life Weaver and a new battle pass with exclusive skins.
Starting with the new character Lifeweaver, they are the first support to be from Thailand and also the first in the entire game to be Pansexual. They can heal with their Healing Blossoms with 50 healing per shot. Lifeweaver also has their primary projectile fire which does 5 damage per thorn. This makes this new hero have the least healing output.
Following Lifeweaver's kit is their first ability-the Petal platform. It is a one of a kind in the game of Overwatch 2. The Petal platform is the only ability in the game that can be placed down and used by anyone to be lifted 30 meters in the sky. It is kind of like an elevator- it creates many new lines of sight for users. Though this can be used as a massive advantage in the game, it can be destroyed by the enemy team.
His other ability is life grip. This ability allows Lifeweaver to pull any allies to them. While being pulled, the ally cannot die as they will be protected by a shield. Their final ability, which is their ultimate, is called the Tree of Life. The Tree of Life is a healing tree that can be placed by a life weaver for his team. The tree does over 150 constant boosts of healing for your teammates.
Fans have been showing much support for this new character and seem to love the new hero. On the Overwatch 2 Lifeweaver reveal trailer on YouTube, users such as Pual Kim share their thoughts regarding the new character.
“Love the Lifeweaver flower tower skills. It's going to make pushing points interesting on some maps,” said one user.
Moving on to the season, there will also be a release of the new battle pass. The battle includes new skins for characters Lucio, Lifeweaver, Doomfist, Ash, Winston, and Mercy, and finally the mythic skin, Sigma. The pass will also include many sprays, coins, and highlight intros for some heroes.\
Fans look to be very excited for this new season and what it has to offer. In addition to a new competitive season as well, players are looking to have a very eventful May.
