That’s right, our very own girls volleyball team won Marine League Champs this season and they couldn’t be any prouder of themselves. All the hard work, sweat and tears paid off.

Academy of Medical Arts sophomore Eirene Taase, who also got Marine League MVP stated, “I feel like to be a champion you have to have the right mindset. You need to stay positive for both yourself and your teammates so that everyone’s feeding off of a good attitude and keeping the energy up.”

Seniors talked about their most memorable moments during the season.

“My most proud moment was beating Crossroads at San Pedro and taking 1st place in the tournament. My favorite memory was beating Narbonne at their house in the first 2 sets,” said CHS senior Monyea Barber.

“I enjoyed senior night the most because my whole family came to support me, it was a good game and a special night,” said CHS senior Brooklyn Vaifanua.

Congratulations to the team who finished the season 24-8. Great work Lady Colts!
