Carson High School’s garden has made a significant impact on students, teaching them all about the importance of sustainability and keeping the environment clean. The Go Green Club, which cares for the garden, assigns members of the club to stay after school to water the plants, clean up the area, and tend to the animals that are housed in the garden.

These students truly enjoy the work that they do.

Carson High School senior Zia Daniels - one of the members of the Go Green Club - said, “The way that the vines surround the roof near the entrance is really pretty, and it creates like a welcoming atmosphere when you first walk in.”

The garden has been a long-time educational experience for students and continues to gain

interest thanks to the members helping out with maintaining the serenity of the garden.

Thanks to the garden, students have taken away a newfound appreciation for plants and their beauty.

“Taking care of the garden has taught me that I really enjoy working with plants. Plus, seeing

how the garden looks afterward is rewarding,” Daniels said.

Overall, Carson High’s garden and its Go Green Club continue to teach students about the value of the Earth and its fauna and flora. The activities that members of the Go Green Club participate in remind students of the impact of hard and consistent work. In fact, everyone can make a positive impact if they all pull together and work towards a common goal.
