The Girls Bringing in a Racket

Updated: Oct 17, 2020

With hopes for another great season, the girls’ tennis team has many different expectations and goals. Last year’s hard work has resembled in their league record, which was 10-0. However, they suffered a deadly loss by forfeit against Venice High School, which hurt their overall record (13-1). Tennis is not an easy sport and fulfilling the expectations this year for the girls won’t be easy. With such great statistics from last season, the bar is set high for the girls tennis team this year.

Academy of Medical Arts senior Christine Bandoy explains that the team’s overall goal this year is to “go undefeated in the marine league.”

Cameron Willis, Junior of Carson High School, explains “My only goal this season is to go further in CIF”, Cameron is expected to be a dangerous threat to her opponents this year, and she explains what it takes to reach her goal as she wants to train more on her off time.

With not much change in the 2017 schedule, it will be exciting to watch the girl’s tennis team take on their opponents this year.
