Timothee Chalamet portrays Willy Wonka in the new Wonka movie. Many of his fans have mixed opinions about this upcoming film directed by Paul King.
¨The movie was good, but it wasn't one of my favorites. As a person who hates musicals, I highly recommend watching it,” said Carson High School senior Siam Ramirez.
The audience was surprised that it was a musical as it was not promoted using that genre.
The last film to be produced by King was Charlie and the Chocolate Family, released on July 15, 2005, and directed by Tim Burton, and it received 83% Rotten Tomatoes.
This latest movie received an 85% on Rotten Tomatoes, and when comparing this with the last film, it did better by 2%
“Timothee Chalemet did an amazing job of portraying Wonka,¨ said CHS senior Thalia Ronnholm.
If you’re not a fan of musicals, this film may not be for you.
¨I wasn't a huge fan of it only because of the music part of it,¨ said CHS senior Catherin Napoles.
Bottom line? If you enjoy musicals, you will enjoy this film. If you do not enjoy them then maybe watch something else
