If you know football, then you’ve probably heard of Tom Brady. If you don’t, Tom Brady is a quarterback that started his National Football League (NFL) career in 2000. Brady was able to rise up and make himself known to the world by becoming one of the most celebrated NFL quarterbacks in football history.

After being the 199th pick in the 6th round of the NFL draft, young Brady started his NFL career as the quarterback for the New England Patriot’s from 2000-2019. By 2020, he was traded to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

After playing in the NFL, for a total of 23 successful seasons, Brady has finally announced that he will be retiring after his last season with the Buccaneers in order to recharge and move on with his life.

Carson High School freshman Chaste Lameta said, “Man, even though he is retiring, I still love him. At least now he finally gets to spend time with his 3 kids.”

Brady earned himself 5 MVP honors and 6 Super Bowl victories. Brady definitely deserves this break from football after displaying hard work and dedication ever since he first started in the league.

Many fans have come to an understanding regarding his decision and have decided to support him as he continues with his life.

CHS senior Alatina Sautia stated, “Even though he is the oldest man that has played in the NFL, I think that he has made a huge impact on the football community.”

According to Fox Sports, Brady plans to stay within the football community by being in the broadcast booth as a member of the popular network.
